I have a special heart for church websites,
mainly because I love the Lord and designing and managing my own
church's website has been a joy for me.
Your church website is your face to your
community.
Is it inviting to visitors searching for a
church? Your website should be welcoming in wording and
appearance. More than ever people new to an area or just
looking for a new church will do so first on the Internet.
Because of this, it is very important for a church’s website to
intentionally welcome visitors, while offering them important
information about the church.
Does it make that important information
easily accessible to visitors and members alike? Your site
should be a resource both for your congregation and visitors and
easily navigated.
Is it static or a work in progress? Just
like the congregation the site should never "arrive," but
continue to grow and change right along with its people.
Are there resources available for those
questioning their faith and looking for answers? They should
feel warmly welcomed and find places to fit into your
congregation.
